Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at level AA, across the whole site. The guidelines are built into the way the pages are written rather than added on top, and there is no overlay widget here.
What is built in
- Headings that describe the page in order, one main heading per page, so a screen reader can move through it by its outline.
- A skip link at the top of every page that jumps past the header to the content.
- Everything operable from a keyboard: the menus, the calculators and the choice card on the home page, with a visible focus ring on whatever has focus.
- Text and background colors checked for contrast, and no meaning carried by color alone.
- Text that scales with your browser's settings, and layouts built for a phone's width.
- Motion that respects your system's reduced-motion setting: animations shorten or stop, and nothing moves on its own in a way you cannot turn off.
- Phone numbers that are real links, so a phone can call them with a tap.
- Automated accessibility checks that run on changes to the site.
What we know is not finished
- The link to continue your application opens a separate system we do not build. If something there is in your way, call us.
- Nothing here has yet been tested by people who use a screen reader every day; it has been checked by automated tests. We would like to change that; see below.
Tell us when something is in your way
If a page is hard to use, if something cannot be reached from the keyboard, or if your screen reader cannot make sense of it, write to vic@camortgagesolutions.com or call (805) 704-9093 and say which page and what happened.
