Who we are

California Mortgage Solutions Inc. is an independent mortgage broker based in San Luis Obispo, California. We arrange home loans with lenders rather than fund them ourselves, which is what the word broker means.

How to verify us

NMLS Consumer Access is the public register of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry. Search our company NMLS number there and you can read the record for yourself: the licenses held, the states, and regulatory actions that regulators have posted there. It is free and it needs no account.

The California Department of Real Estate has its own public license lookup. The state license record link in the box above opens ours there.

California license

California requires a real estate licensee's license number, and a mortgage loan originator's NMLS number, on materials that are a first point of contact with consumers, this site included. Ours is in the box above, beside the NMLS number.

Our California Department of Real Estate broker license is a state license, valid anywhere in California; we work on the Central Coast by choice.

How to raise a complaint

Start with us. Call (805) 704-9093 or write to vic@camortgagesolutions.com and say what went wrong.

If we have not put it right, you can take it to the California Department of Real Estate, which issued our license, through the DRE's complaint page. You can also take it to the federal regulator for consumer financial products.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau takes complaints about mortgages at consumerfinance.gov/complaint, forwards them to the company, and tracks the response.

• Nothing on this site is an offer or a commitment to lend. Every loan is subject to the lender's credit and property approval and to the program's rules.
• This site publishes no interest rates, fees or payment figures. A rate for your file comes from a loan officer, with the costs that go with it.
• The application you start from this site is taken by Unified Loan System, the application system we use, and a loan officer here reads it. This site issues no decision, and nothing is pulled on your credit until you authorize it.
• Program descriptions summarize how each program generally works; the terms of a loan you are offered are the ones in the disclosures you receive with it.
